Self-reflection

I have found that working with a group of pro-active members makes things a lot easier especially as the management leader. Being the management leader, I had to coordinate the communication, documentation, decision making and a bit of the designing in this project. Without this in a group, it would be much harder to function as there would be loose ends everywhere and a lot of issues with miscommunications. Meetings were organized by me at least once a week and group members were encouraged to post on the blog as a form of mutual communication. A lot of problems were dodged because of the constant meeting. Efficiency also comes hand in hand with meeting up constantly and the updating of blog. Group members were aware of time constraints and the need of completion of certain tasks at a certain time. Most of my proof, examples and show of effectiveness can be seen through my blog posts.

Coming out to the increasingly more complex and collaborative professional architectural practice, the skills that have been adapted onto me through this assignment would be of much help although it might be tiresome. It may not seem to be at all in parallel to architectural design but it is the core to any group needing to function properly. Miscommunication and the messiness of documentation is one that gives most people in practice these days the huge amount of frustration, wastage of time and money.

This group has really been a joy to work with and have been extremely positive and time effective with work and progress. They have made my job much easier than it could have been.
